One last evening with the Burrowing Owls. The heat, wind and dry conditions make it unsafe to venture off the main roads to get to the prairie dog town. I didn't come away with the family photo that I had envisioned, but I have a lot better idea how to approach the owls, mating habits and a timeline for the owlets arrival. Next year!
