Having just scrolled up and down, I think this would work very well as a panorama. I would be tempted to lose about 3/4 of the sky, then crop the left so that the big tree is on the 1/3. Of course it might look awful, but that's my suggestion for what it's worth!

I like what it does in the sense of scale and the big sky feel. playing about with the crop would be interesting though I agree.
