Canon R10 - any way to disable the "flash" button in the cross keys where the "Set" button resides?

Hi!
The "Thenar region" of my right hand has several times accidentally depressed said "Flash" button, in the midst of shooting, which disables the (external) flash - quite aggravating!
Is there a way to effectively "Disable" that flash button?

Looking at your manual it seems that button can be programmed to just a few other functions. For example af-on, in which case it would act like a half press, or depth of field preview. You are getting into the weeds of customizing buttons, so maybe save your current settings to the card first just in case.

That works. Maybe down the road you will have a need for a button, shame to waste it.

Never had any problem, just joy, with Canon products - even my MX 340 All in One Printer - still in use - and I bought that in 2009!
I've enjoyed the T3, 7D Mark II, and now this great (and relatively inexpensive) R10. My three Canon lenses are superb.
