This is the slow time of year for Florida birds, so I decided that Sept. 23-26 I'll be driving up to NC to check out the area around the Cataloochee Valley. Looking for Elk and waterfalls...maybe some stars. I've never been there, so I was interested in hearing about the past experiences of others who have been there. I'll have my personal vehicle, and I've got accommodations in Maggie Valley, but I had questions about the surrounding areas. T.I.A.
