Was shooting near a local lake a few weeks back, and while waiting for a stubborn Orchard Oriole to appear, passed the time by snapping the RWBBs near me. It wasn't until I got home and culling through the days catch that I noticed the female had something grasped in her bill. Upon zooming in, this is what I found:
Seems like birds like to collect a bunch of lunch before they return to the nest, and this girl was able to delicately nab this spider without killing it. Impressive touch, to say the least!
