Nice photo! Yes that’s why I like photographing Eagles and Ospreys because they often have some very dynamic Aerial Battles.

Nicely done. The bird is justifiably nervous. I really think eagles would rather steal fish than catch themselves. Maybe they just don't like getting their feet wet.

Dan, we have noticed that the Osprey employ an eagle like technique to get fish, i.e. they skim the surface and pluck the fish from the surface. I have noticed this when the eagles and Ospreys are active and perhaps a quick getaway is in order.
