In the past when people talked about Africa I am pretty certain this image of lots of exotic animals in wide open spaces instantly came to mind. This photo was taken in 2009 and is of the vast salt pans in Etosha Natural Park in Namibia. Large numbers of animals frequented these "salt licks" to supplement their dietary requirements and here we see many Plains Zebra and Ostrich, interspersed with Oryx.
Taken with D60 and Tamron 70-300mm at 300mm ISO 100, f10, 1/250 Sec., handheld.
