I’ve been having trouble with my D500 and I think it’s because of the lens contacts. I was wondering what the best (and safest) way to clean them is?

When I find oxidized contacts on a camera I'm hacking the best way to clean them is to use denatured alcohol on cotton swab. Just have to make sure the swab doesn't leave any lint; the best way I've found to do that is to wind the cotton tightly and use a really wet swab.
