I am working on scanning old slides (1980s) to get them in digital form. We really want to recover those old memories with slides and negatives going back to high school days - late 1960's. I know many others are facing the same situation.
The slides have suffered some, with a purple color cast and much dust. The slides were not always well stored as we moved arounf the world or left them in storage for many years at a time. I have attached one before/after example with some work done. Dust/junk is the main issue, so I am looking for cleaning suggestions for the slides to minimize the cleanup. Suggestions appreciated. Some slides will not be recoverable, but will do my best.
Attached is an example where I did some color corrections and cloned out most of the dust.
Most of the slides are far worse. Suggestions/Guidance appreciated.
