Get the lens, my opinion obviously. If you had another body, I would say get a body that can focus properly, but you have a D500, the combination is just insanely good.

When the Z9 became pre-order I had it, the 2 larger Z mount lenses and the F mount 500 PF in my cart. But that would have maxed out 2 credit cards I just paid off. I think this is the wrong hobby to stay out of debt with lol.
