Yesterday evening just after sunset, I got a shot of the comet C/2024 G3 before it set, following the sun. I think it had it's nearest distance to the sun the day before yesterday and seems to have survived the encounter. It is only visible for 2-3 days in the Northern hemisphere, so I was lucky to get this image yesterday between clouds. The picture more or less gives the impression I got with my binoculars - without them I could not see it. I was hoping for something more spectacular but it really is very bright considering the sunlight. (D850, 500 PF, f/5.6, ISO 800, 1/13 s).
