Nice set! I especially like #3. Do they have a nest with eggs? When do they usually hatch?
Thank You! Yes, they have a nest and generally have one or two chicks in late June or Early July. I've been watching this pair for a few years now, and they always seem to have their chicks a bit later than others in the area. The Common Loon has been a great success story in Vermont. There were only 7 nesting pair in 1983, but now there are over 100 nesting pairs.

Great news! Next week I go to BC to hopefully photograph loons. Next year I may have to visit Vermont!

BTW I was in Vermont just a few weeks ago! Wish I had contacted you before the trip! LOL! I didn't know about the possibility of loons, so I photographed your state capitol instead!
