Took this sequence in Auto Capture. It is unusual in that most similar attempts yield two or maybe three images as small birds usually go straight in (or out). Only motion was used to trigger with a speed of 1 and size of 2 and Auto Area focus. I have found that subject detection takes to much time if you are trying to capture action like this. Decided not to crop out the feeder as that is the clear focus of the bird.

Thank you for sharing those photos! Hope to try it Auto Capture after putting out feeders as soon as bear risk is minimal -- Dec. 1 here in Southwest NH
