This shot of a Cooper's Hawk was taken in my front yard in a Palm Tree. My wife said that there was something going on in front of our house, "All the birds were going crazy". I went out with my camera to see what was going on. The Grackles were diving at this Cooper's Hawk that had caught a Quaker Parrot. I was able to get a couple of shots off before they ran him off. The Quaker parrots are not native to this area, but they and other species are here now. The story is that during Hurricane Andrew a breeder's cages in Miami were destroy and a lot of bird escaped.
Taken with a Nikon D750 and the first version of the Tamron 150-600 @1/125 - f8 -ISO 200 @ 600mm
