After a pretty busy week at work I was kind of bummed that there were not nearly enough opportunities to grab the camera. As I finished off my day at the truck yard yesterday, I happened to see this one watching me from the trees. Our back lot is adjacent to a wildlife preserve and the raptors especially seem to have more tolerance for the "civilized" side of the reservoir I saw our resident Red Tail hawk further down the treeline but far too distant for photos, This hawk is noticeably smaller, I still could get better at my identifications. . D500, 200-500 f5.6, 1/1250 @ f8, ISO 450.
