This photo of the Cormorant on the edge of the water was taken at the boat ramp at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Boynton Beach, Florida. I was around a foot away from the Cormorant when I took this photo. It took a while, but I was able to work my way closer with time to earn the trust of the bird. The bird was use to people because its a common spot to go fishing in the Refuge. The Refuge is at the most Northeastern part of the Everglades. I was able to keep dry being at the edge of the boat ramp.
Taken with Nikon D750 with a Nikon 20mm f1.8G @1/640 - f14 (to get the neat lens flare) - ISO 250
