During my trip to Chile, I had the opportunity to visit a little-known island called Isla Los Pinguinos Cachagua, which is located off the coast of Zapallar. The general public is not permitted access to the island by foot, so I had to shoot from a shaky and small motorboat. The island is home mainly to a variety of birds, including Humboldt penguins, different species of cormorant, pelicans, vultures, etc. As the last rays of sun disappeared from the sky, a cormorant which I believed to be of the neotropic species flapped its wings on its majestic rocky perch.
