I was out scouting some locations for Autumn here in Vermont. Colors are just starting and will be peaking next week.

Gorgeous! Will you be back to these locations during the peak colors? Exciting. My most favorite time of year!
Thanks! Yes, the plan is to revisit both places. Although the barn shot may lose it's foliage before the leaves fully turn. My favorite time of year as well. Just wish Winter wasn't right behind it.

Very nice, I'm hoping to have some nice cloudy days next week when I'm up there. I have a bunch of locations I have been wanting to photograph with fall colors.
Thanks! I'm hoping for some cloudy days myself. Nothing but rain and clouds all Summer, and now the extended forecast is for nothing but sunny days! LOL It's been quite foggy at sunrise lately, which can make for some nice shots. The white sky in the covered bridge shots are fog.

Very nice shots. My father was from VT and I still have family there but haven't visited in ages. I look at these and think I should change that. Really nice shots.

Yeah the cloudy summer ruined all the milky way shots I had planned, but all the rain and clouds made for great waterfall shots.

BTW, you may already know this, but if you are planning to shoot on Cloudland Road (Especially the popular Sleepy Hollow) near Woodstock, that road has been closed to all traffic except residents until 10/23. They have had so many problems with fall tourists the last couple years, the town decided to close that area off from traffic.

I did hear about it, that's too bad the property owners have had to deal with that. I have never been there, I like to avoid the Instagram famous spots. My place is further north in the Mad River Valley. Luckily the sight seeing tour buses haven't made their way into that area yet, they stay up in Stowe, but it has gotten increasingly crowded over the years.
