My wife and I were photographing spring flowers when she noticed this crab spider waiting patiently for an unsuspecting insect to come along in time for lunch. It was quite cooperative allowing me to capture several images. It was still there when we walked away.

Jeff - Really striking image 🤩 - I love the smile on his dial!:sneaky:
Thank you. Yep, that smile is the last thing some insect is going to see.
This one was very cooperative. It was in the low 70's yesterday so he wasn't cold and lethargic. I got several shots from farther away and went in close with the macro lens for this one. I fired one 3 shot burst from close and then moved on down the trail not wanting to cause it to move or chase away its lunch. We did see 2 more in this patch of daffodils but they were not sitting out on the end of the petals and were in much less photogenic locations in the flower.

Interesting little spiders for sure.
