Cry of the Fish Eagle

Caught this African fish Eagle in full cry, they have a very distinctive cry which is ,for many, known as 'the call of Africa'.

When I hear that cry, I know I'm in the African bush. Such an evocative, unique sound. Great image, Gavin. Closest equivalent here I can think of is the cry of the loon. That reminds me I'm in the Canadian wilderness.

Yes, I guess that there possibly was something below in the dense bush ,but they also move their heads up from their chests to the top of their backs when they make a call,
