I retired last year so I finally have the time and we are also having a lot of clear nights where I live, so here comes my next starscape image, NGC 1514 in the constellation of Taurus the Bull, not very far from the Pleiades star cluster. NGC 1514 is a dying star that is loosing it's outer layers and ionized hydrogen and oxygen emit a bright blue color in this case. The bright star in the middle of the nebula is not the source but a second smaller star revolving around it with an orbit duration of 9 years. That is why the nebula is complex, also with an inner and outer envelope. It reminds me of a flower in space but it has the nickname "Crystal Ball" Nebula.

Nikon D7500a astro modified, Nikon 600 mm f/4 + 2x TC (considering the chip size that would amount to 1800 mm at f/8), ISO 1600, 1 hour exposure time (5 min. each image), 9th of March.
