OK, I'll confess I have never linked my camera to the PC. Do I use the top data cable, or bottom connection, or use WIFI so I can do the calibration process? I'll admit this is my fault.
If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).
Mine is a hand me down from my father. No cables. It sounds like a data transfer cable. You need the cable that came with the camera. On a D-500 is has a large and a small connection on top.
Thanks. Ordered same. I found the original but it's giving error messages and I'll assume it is the LHS of the camera at the bottom.Nikon UC-E6 USB Cable (4.5') 25604 B&H Photo Video (bhphotovideo.com)
Maybe. Looks standard. D-500 uses a different cable

Yes, I used the online version first. So wrong. Now awaiting replacement cable. On the D750 it is the bottom small USB socket that is used to connect to a PC. It is Item 18 shown on Page 2 of the user manual.
