OK, I'll confess I have never linked my camera to the PC. Do I use the top data cable, or bottom connection, or use WIFI so I can do the calibration process? I'll admit this is my fault.

You need the cable that came with the camera. On a D-500 is has a large and a small connection on top.

Mine is a hand me down from my father. No cables. It sounds like a data transfer cable.

Thanks. Ordered same. I found the original but it's giving error messages and I'll assume it is the LHS of the camera at the bottom.
On the D750 it is the bottom small USB socket that is used to connect to a PC. It is Item 18 shown on Page 2 of the user manual.

Yes, I used the online version first. So wrong. Now awaiting replacement cable.
