has anyone had a auto focus mode selection issue with a d850. I cannot change AF-C to
AF-S, wondering if this is a firmware issue or is it time for a Nikon repair.

Just to be sure have you checked menu item A10 AF mode restrictions?

Thanks JSD, A10 was set to AF-C restriction, all better now

And it wont work if you have a manual focus lens on the body.
