I can't identify the moth because I never saw its back. These were taken early this morning at a local march area.

Nice shots. There are a lot of skipper butterflies and many of them look similar. Time of year, location and habitat can help. I just call them skippers and leave it at that. One quick way to tell a butterfly from moth is butterflies generally have bulbs on the tips of their antenna where moths do not.
