Delkin Black CFe help

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

Hi, can anyone tell me what the code numbers on the front of Delkin Black cards mean, and do the code variations have any bearing on sustained write speed?
I see codes starting CFe, C7 and C1.
I've tried asking Delkin here in the UK, but they won't even grace me with a reply.

Thank you for reading!

Which cards you using?, we can inform the speed to you. The numbers are a serial number, as mentioned. has nothing to do with card speeds.

Serial Number for that card. Used for registration/replacement.
Ahhh, I didn't realise that! When I look at a retailers site to potentially buy one here in the UK, most show a card with the code C115769 on it. But some show cards with CFeB57468 on there instead. This led me to think there may be a variance!
The standard 128GB Lexars I use at the minute, lossless compressed @ 20fps, hit the buffer after around 54 frames and then continue shooting at around 9fps.

I am looking for a card with faster sustained write speed, more than bigger capacity, as I'm on a real tight budget at the moment.
So, it looks as if Lexar Diamonds would be a bit better suited to my current needs than Delkin, on the basis of cost alone.

But any advice you guys could offer me would be gratefully received.

Angelbird are my go to. The se cards can handle everything you can throw at them.
A pair of Angelbird 160GB AV PRO would fit nicely in my budget at £210 for two. I have heard some people say they are a bit fragile, and that they can be a bit thick and jam in the Z9 card slots, so that worries me slightly. They quote a sustained write speed of 1480 MB/s, does that sound about right Cameron?

Delkin Black CFe cards have served me well for more than three years without a failure, overheating issues, or fit problems. Generally, I buy them at a discounted price which the largest two US camera retailers offer periodically. I’m not sure if that’s an option for you in the UK.

Ha, if ONLY! UK=Cash Cow for anything photographic.

The Delkin Black 325GB version 3 has sustained write of 1550 MBS. Version 4 doubles that but may not be usable in current hardware.

I'm another that only buys On Sale.
Which one of these is a v3 if you don't mind me asking? The retailers in the UK know nothing when you ask them, and frankly are as much use as a chocolate fire guard!

I have the following: 3rd from the left (1.3 Tb), 4th from the left (325 Gb), and 2nd from the right (650 Gb). On my Z8 & Z9 I’m able to shoot RAW HE* at 20 fps for at least ten seconds without buffering. On a Z6III it’d be unlimited even shooting lossless compressed.

Thanks very much to everyone who has replied; you've helped me more in the last few hours than Delkin and two of the biggest Nikon specialist retailers in the UK have in the last 12 days. Cheers!

I just bought a Delkin black cf type B 4.0, 1.3 Tb. I believe it is a new product , because the card looks different from my other Delkin, Gold Color, and the Maximum read speed is 3530, Maximum write speed 3230 MB/s. I know they make it in different capacity, like 325 Gb, or 650. I am going to use it for videos shoot

This look like yours - lower capacity of course?
