In addition to their beauty they are cheeky rascals. Fun to watch when multiple birds are around because there is always something going on.Great comparison shot, those Snowy Egrets are beautiful birds.
I think (maybe someone can confirm) it is called a White Heron (Kotuku) in New Zealand and only breed in one very small area here. ( Whataroa , Westcoast of the South Island)

There’s both a Great Egret and a Great White Heron here in the US…both are white and very similar…former had black legs and the latter yellowish green legs. Bills same and the Great Whites are slightly bigger.Great comparison shot, those Snowy Egrets are beautiful birds.
