Does anyone use a Cir-Pol filter with the Nikon 200-500mm?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I've had my 200-500 for a little while now and after watching some YT videos I see some use the Cir-Pol filter with the non-zoom Big Lenses. I know that those lenses have the rear drop-in filter slot. But the 200-500mm doesn't offer that convenience. Do any owners of the 200-500mm lens use one on the front of the lens? Or do you just not use one at all? I know they're not cheap, so that's why I'm asking for advice.

Thanks

Double post?

Answer's the same, generally not worth the hassle and cost of using a CPL with long lenses for wildlife work. Once in a blue moon it's handy but a bit hard to justify the cost given how infrequently it's used.
