We had a lot of fun watching this Little Blue Heron hunting in a small beaver pond. We watched it catch 12 fish in about 90 minutes. Here are a few images of the "big flip" as it tossed the fish up in the air to reposition them had first for the down the hatch move.

Fun set of images!
Thanks. For folks who live farther south than us, these are fairly common birds. Here in South West Ohio, they are occasional visitors. Suspect this one rode up on the recent storms or perhaps wanted to see how the fishing was in Ohio. It sure did seem hungry though. I don't know how his stomach held that many fish. :)
