This is the smallest, most angry looking little woodpecker that I have ever seen lol. The Downy woodpecker is North America's smallest species of woodpecker, reaching sizes of 14-18cm or 5.5-7" ish. I was really surprised when he kept letting me get closer and closer, the photo isn't heavily cropped. I considered cropping out the cattail because it left my eyes kinda jumping back and forth between it and the subject but I like that it shows where the bird is and it's size. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts and any suggestions y'all might have, whether they be editing or technique/settings suggestions.
