After a very slow start due to the poor weather in the English midlands I am now trying to remember how to capture dragonflies in flight. This is a male Emperor dragonfly taken last week:

Nice shot for 1st in season of the Blue Emperor, we get them down here in South Africa as well and saw one 2 weeks ago at the mine's farm dam in Katanga, so despite mid winter they are still around. Maybe I should take the 180-600 for a walk and see how it does with latching on a flying emperor...??
