With our forecast for the next few days being in the double digits below zero, seeing these images makes me think of nice sunny warm days.

Beautifully photographed. I am confident these images would pass even Steve's most stringent sharpness test. You have also achieved impressive depth of field; I often find this a challenge. Any hints?

no special hints
try to find a good location where they land and check how the background is
often it returns to the same place and stick after its flights
Not always easy, but I have a pretty good spot where I often photograph the Blue damselfly on nice reed leaves and where the stream also plays with nice colors and here there is also sometimes a Golden-ringed dragonfly which is one of the biggest dragonflies we have in Sweden
