Born and bred in a dry country, I am not fond of green - give me the desert colours any day. Summer here in SA in certain areas are very green. This image is from Mankwe Hide, Pilanesberg NP in Nothwest, South Africa. The shades of brown and beige just calls to me.

Beautiful... I can defiantly see where you are coming from and I think it makes backgrounds a touch easier because you don't have all the bright colors and reflections. Funny how perspectives can be different though it's so green here (in the summer). and I really love that... The winters are gray (when Im not buried in snow) and kinda blah and cold

Gordon, agree. Green is the worst color for noise imo, the light browns much better for noise.
 
I was so taken by the hole in the elephant's ear and the lovely opposing shadow it cast that I nearly missed the youngster! They're all lovely shots. How I would love a visit to your wonderful country.
 
Great series Callie. I guess the grass isn’t greener on the other side for you. For me it certainly is, but, I guess more literally speaking, it is less green for me! :)
