This was taken at a small WMA 20 minutes from the house about 2 years ago. Wish I had a bit more of a catchlight in the eye but I do like the BG.

Congrats on a darn nice image. Yes, a catch light would have been nice but the fact that one can just make out the pupil in the eye is pretty nice.

Super shot. I follow them around the prairie at the local National Wildlife area in the spring but can never get a good shot!

Excellent photograph, I've never gotten lose enough to get a decent photo of one. If the photo was mine I'd use a lightening brush on the eye to brighten the catch-light; you might call it cheating, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

Very nice image. Adding a little bit of fill in flash can give you the catch light in the eye you are looking for.
