It had been around 10 months since my last trip to photograph black bears in eastern North Carolina and I had the chance to make a quick trip this weekend. 4.5 driving out there, and I spent Saturday evening and sunday morning photographing before driving the 4.5hrs back yesterday. So 9-10 hours of driving, about 7-8 hours of shooting, 6 miles or so of flat hiking, resulted in about 40-50 bears spotted.
