As spring gets underway here in Australia we're seeing more bird varieties around where I live.

I haven't had the opportunity to take advantage of the the recent nice weather we've had, but did get out for a walk the other day.

Not this time. We're headed to NZ. We started planning for Oz but flights were better to Auckland and we haven't been there since 2016. Maybe next year...

Ah OK. I see what you mean by "a few hundred km east this time". If you'd said a few thousand km's east, I would have got your meaning.
