Thanks everyone! The owl is at the same tree that it was at last year - and it's easy to find the tree once you know where it is. I went over to the tree when I read on eBird that other folks had found the owl recently, and when I first got there, no sight of the owl. After five minutes of waiting, it popped out. Here's an uncropped version of the same photo.

I recently put up a screech owl box in hope of a pair taking up residence in it and doing some posing for me. So far, nothing's in it but this great shot has got me checking it more frequently. Fingers crossed.
