Nice shots Ralph. Does the greenish eye-beak area vary on these birds? The Great Egrets I have shot seem to be less pronounced trending towards green-yellow if not just yellow there. I see yours vary too or just processing/camera settings but I have noticed in other east coast photos of these birds.

Kurt, as breeding season approaches it get more pronounced. At least that’s my guess.
