Second day out with my new 1.4 teleconverter. I have only had the camera since July and have pretty much used it daily since.
The only computer processing on these shots might be some minimal tweaking of the sliders beyond hitting the automatic button. Im new at Lightroom also.
I feel like the sharpness of these bird images is dramatically improved now that they are larger in the frame with the 1.4 teleconverter.
I feel like these birds were within 30 yards of my position.
I guess my basic question is to know without doing anything different with my technique can I expect to capture more sharply focused bird in flight photos if I am either closer to the subject or by using a longer lens like the 600 fc?
I believe I was on AF setting “wide-s” and the camera thinks it was locked. Small green box was definitely on the bird near the head.
I had the great egret under my camera for a long time. These were the sharpest shots when it went straight overhead.
The other two birds did not present themselves for as long a time. And I just like the reflection of the resting dragonflies.
