I recently read an article where the electronic front-curtain should in ON position when shooting landscape or slow moving wildlife. It claimed this helped reduce blur from vibration. I use both the Nikon D5 and D850 for landscape and wildlife. What is your thought?

It can be useful in landscape, but wildlife is tricker. You have to have the mirror up or be in one of the "Q" drive modes for it to work. Honestly, at least for wildlife, I haven't had much issue with shutter shock. For landscapes, I usually use silent shutter and live view so no vibrations at all. (y)

The crazy thing at least for me when shooting in live view and silent shutter with my Nikon; press the shutter and you hear NOTHING yet you get the image. I have had both my D7100 and D850 set in "Q" mode for a while now. Lately I have been playing with a D780 and can report that in "Q" mode it is quieter than both the D7100 and D850.

LOL, you get used to it. I have the Sony a9ii in silent mode all the time - it's weird at first, but soon you grow to like it. At least I did :)
