Great images, Robert! Amazing dive shot! I'm surprised 1/2500th was fast enough.

Thank you. I was surprised as well since I thought I had the camera set for 1/3200. It is cropped and if I was closer, there would probably be a lot more blur.
The perched image is particularly lovely as the background color complements the beautiful plumage of the bird. The dive shot is really a winner. KKR
Very nice. These birds are very hard to get close to.

You're absolutely right Rassie but this particular one hunts in a park with a lot of foot traffic so my guess is she's a little more tolerable of people. She'll still skedaddle if a nearby dog barks

They are my passion in the late summer and fall. Spectacular shots. You are using the gear I plan on using by this summer when I go mirrorless. Only i’m opting for the z8. Well done . Hopefully Nikon will have updated their firmware by then.

Thanks for the comment. You won't be disappointed with the Z8. The Z9 was my first mirrorless and wish I had made the transition sooner. It's been about a year and I'm loving it after shooting SLRs and DSLRs since high school. If the Z8 had been released first, I would've bought it. If Nikon Rumors is correct with specs, the Z6III might be a good replacement for my D500 which I sold last year
