Eurasian Coots across the far side of Gould's Lagoon were having many altercations with one or more birds involved, this is the start of one long chase.

Four steps in one frame. That pretty cool. Of all birds coots surely require a long runway/size ratio.

On review of the series of 17 images, I think there is 5 steps between the 2 birds the chasing bird does not have it foot down.
A couple more showing a couple of the preceding images.
Just before the left hand bird putting its foot onto the water.
