My wife gave me an unusual present for this time of the year, a live housefly that she trapped. Here is an image of its eye:
Shot with a Nikon Z6 II on a WeMacro Rail. 40 image stack at 50 microns (mu) step length and a total distance of 3mm. Lens was a 10x Plan Objective (microscope lens) mounted on the WeMacro Raynox 150 Tube (Pro). Used 2 Godox 12 flashes with a 3 sec. delay.
Helicon B, Radius 12, Smoothing 2
The below was shot with the Nikon 105 mm Z on the rail. The spectrum took a nice ultrasonic cleaner bath before shooting.
