We went in late January. It was cold and drizzly most of the time. The road is over 20 miles long and gravel, so it was messy. There are hiking trails as well, but we just casually drove through,stopping whenever we saw some interesting wildlife. I’m sure there would be more action during warmer conditions, but I was able to get a lot of good photos, in spite of the rain.
