I was very encouraged on a recent outing with the recently delivered z9 and my f mount lenses. I was unable to find some of the below listed lenses on the compatibility charts I had researched and was therefore a little anxious to see if they would work appropriately.
Turns out all my sigma, nikon and irix f mount lenses work well on the z9 with a number of them benefiting from the ibis function since they don't have vr built into the lense. I particularly liked the improvements I found with the sigma 150-500 and nikon 28-300 when using the z9.
Lenses include: irix 15 2.4, nikon 20 g 1.8, sigma 24-105 4 art, nikon 50 1.8, sigma 85 1.4 art, nikon micro 105 d 2.8, nikon 28-300 3,5-5.6, sigma 70-200 2.8, and sigma 150-500 5-6.3. The dx sigma 17-50, nikon 18-55 and sigma 18-300 also work well on the z9
The only one with a bit of a problem is the nikon micro 105 d. It has to be manually focused on the z9.
