Fall in the Eastern Sierra

A couple of weeks ago I was up in the eastern Sierra trying to capture the start of fall color by one of the creeks. The woods near the creek were a confused tangle and it was hard to find an image in all the beautiful chaos. Here are two images I shoot, I would appreciate you comments and suggestions.
