Went to visit the local Loon family yesterday, but chicks still have not hatched. Mama was sitting on the nest the entire time I was there, but Dad kept me entertained. Hoping the chicks will be out within the week.

Thanks. This is a somewhat remote pond, but does get some human activity. No motorized craft are allowed. I found that if you just get in the right position and float there, they pretty much ignore you. I've had them dive and pop up so close to my kayak that I could not fit them in the frame. These shots have very slight cropping, but are close to full frame.
