Hi All

I am thinking about purchasing a new Lens for Landscape - can you suggest anything to “”Fill the Gap”” between the two that I already have which are as follows

Tamron SP 10-24mm 3.5/4.5
Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8

What would you suggest to consider purchasing ? I should add that I would probably need to buy something that’s used but in great condition as opposed to Brand new depending upon the advice given here as my budget would be around £400/£500 Pounds Sterling = $500/$600 USA ....I’ve been told that a Nikkor 17-55mm would be a good starting point although I am open to suggestions ... What are your thoughts

Camera body is Nikon d500

Thanks in advance

The 17-55mm f/2.8 G series is great with the D500, made in Japan, built like a tank.

It's been made for years so plenty of good used ones around, got mine second hand from Grays of Westminster.

I’m very happy with the results I am getting from our Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 G2
Might be difficult finding one for that price though. Not sure what used go for tbh

I've also used the Nikon 16-80 f2.8-4. It's quite good and of reasonable size. Fits nicely in your gap and I think it is better choice than the 24-120 f4, given you are using a DX body. Very nice to have 16 mm on the lens, and have the FOV on your D500 equivalent to 24 mm on FX. It's also a bit smaller and lighter than the 24-120.

Many thanks guys for all your suggestions - looks like i`ve got a bit of pondering to do as there are a couple of Lenses among those suggested that i hadn`t even considered ie 24-120mm and 16-80mm ....
