I am hand-holding, sitting with my elbow on the table. I find that getting the focus where I want it is very difficult. I haven't done this in a long time. The good news is that the Olympus Fl-900r flash shoots at 10 frames/sec so I need to hold less than a second for the camera to take the stack (8 images). The camera can only complete the focus stacking about 20% of the time and that is expected hand held.
