Was at Lake Havasu shooting waterfowl. Had the D500, 500PF plus 1.4x Type III Converter when this shows up. No time to lose the converter. Hand holding.
The first image was from the morning, the rest from afternoon. This bird was cruising the shoreline for prey (it turned out easy dead prey), the gulls took a dim view of this
which allowed several opportunities to photograph as bird kept circling.
