Fish Eagle

Lake Naivasha, which is about 90minutes drive north of Nairobi has one of the highest density of fish eagles in the region. Great opportunity to get out on the lake (avoiding the hippos which have killed and injured several people of late) and try to get one in flight. Handheld from a small open boat.

I was so lucky on my first outing to track down fish eagles. I ended up with this more by luck than judgement to be honest but the 70-200 with a 1.4 tc really hit the mark. Looking forward to getting the D850 out with the 300 2.8G to compare against the D500 and the 200-500. Mind you, thinking about if I might swap those lenses over.....
